Urban Hike No. 1

I went walking around Seattle this weekend and here is a nice little recap . . . just for you!

I spent Friday night dancing and drooling over the band MEN. . . .so, naturally my first stop on Saturday morning was (1)Vita.

Coffee in hand and rounding the corner towards Broadway I encountered (2) Mr. Drew.  He looked so nice in the morning sun that I initially imagined him to be taking the ‘walk of shame’  – you know, dressed dapperly in the morning, almost as if from the night before. . .  He was on his way to work and was so sweet to take the time to pose and show me his wonderful inky arms!

Taking my time, I strolled down hill towards the city center and at the last minute decided to pop into (3) Bernie Utz Hats, the BEST hat store in the city.  It was so crowded with tourists that I only stayed long enough to try on a camel hued, wool fedora.

Across the street, on the corner of 3rd and Union, I spotted a (4) young au pair referencing a Seattle street map.  Her wool sweater, which I am told was authentic Icelandic wool, looked so nice and homey.

Pioneer Square Market is a new addition to the plethora of weekend Markets in this faire city – but well worth a visit. It’s here that I spotted the most (5) amazing ballooning linen trousers and fought over a vintage, Alpaca wool coat (a fight which I won, of course).

After the battle, I found myself sitting on the patio of (6) Café Umbria, debating with other locals about Seattle rain – a major topic of discussion here.

I topped off my wonderful Saturday urban hike at (7) Pike Place Market.  So many yummy vegi’s and fruits right now – also synonymous with lost and confused tourists.

We think you're cute, too:
